A married Nashville police sergeant who filmed himself having sex with another officer inside a middle school — while children were in the building — went on a three-hour podcast to lecture the world about cops who have 'tainted the badge.' Stephen Holland apparently had a lot of thoughts about professional integrity. He just scheduled them between hookups on school property.

According to the New York Post, Metropolitan Nashville Police Sgt. Stephen Holland carried on a sexual relationship with school resource officer Lisa Vidrios inside Madison Middle School at least four times in May 2025. The encounters were filmed. On school grounds. With kids inside the building and staff audible outside the door.
Vidrios' husband, who is also a Metro Nashville Police Department officer, found the videos on her phone and turned them over to investigators. The evidence included footage of the pair having sex on a couch in Vidrios' school office and performing oral sex inside a patrol vehicle while on duty. There were also text messages between the two discussing how to avoid cameras in a school parking garage, where at least one of the encounters took place on April 16, 2025, according to disciplinary records reviewed by the Post.
Vidrios resigned after admitting to the affairs. Holland was removed from his post on May 26, 2025, when the department learned of the allegations. He has not resigned.
The Podcast That Aged Like Warm Milk
Here is where this story goes from grimly sordid to genuinely unhinged. The New York Post reports that in August 2025 — months after the investigation began, but before it became public knowledge — Holland sat down for a nearly three-hour interview on the Cleared Hot podcast with former Navy SEAL Andy Stumpf.
Holland used the appearance to take aim at other officers. "There's some guys that have tainted the badge," he said on air. "There are some guys that don't do police work for the right reason. Their hearts are not in it. But mine is. That's why I'm in it. I'm just going to do the best I can."
At the time he said this, Holland was under active investigation for conducting a months-long sexual affair inside a public school while children attended class nearby. His heart was in it, alright. That much the videos confirm.

Holland didn't stop at badge-taint discourse. He also told the podcast audience that he and his wife had recently rediscovered their Christian faith. "I believe the devil was trying to keep me from rekindling that relationship with God," the SWAT veteran said. He described encouraging his wife to deepen her own faith and mentioned that the family had started attending church together.
His wife, Tiffany Holland, is a business development officer described by the Daily Mail as well-known and respected in their local Nashville community. Whether she was aware of any of this while the family was finding its way back to the pew is not reported.
Holland also claims to suffer from PTSD and anxiety, which he mentioned on the podcast. None of that excuses what the evidence shows, but it does help explain what happened next.
The Pension Situation Is Its Own Outrage
You might think the investigation would proceed fairly swiftly once you have video evidence, documented text messages, a resigned co-conspirator, and a cuckolded cop husband handing over proof. You would be wrong.
The New York Post reports that while under investigation for the affair, Holland was granted an injured-on-duty pension in February 2026. Under department rules, that status made investigators unable to interview him. A man caught on film having sex in a school while children were present effectively became unreachable by his own department's investigators because of a disability pension the department itself approved.
Holland has not resigned. His current employment status with MNPD was not specified in the reporting.
What the Department Actually Did
To be fair to MNPD, the response when the allegations first surfaced was reasonably swift. According to the New York Post, both Holland and Vidrios were removed from their positions and stripped of police access on May 26, 2025, the same day the department learned of the allegations.
Vidrios resigned and admitted to the conduct. The department's Office of Professional Accountability conducted an investigation that produced public disciplinary records detailed enough to include timestamps, locations, and descriptions of the video evidence. The record itself is thorough.
The problem is that the record exists, Holland is apparently still collecting a pension from the same department he embarrassed, and the whole thing sat quietly enough that Holland had time to go on a podcast and call other cops disgraceful before the story became public.

A police sergeant conducted a sexual affair inside a public middle school, filmed it, texted about evading security cameras, did all of this while children were in class down the hall, and then sat down for a podcast to explain to listeners that some officers have corrupt hearts and don't deserve to wear the badge. The lack of self-awareness required to pull that off is almost athletic.
The pension angle is the part that should make taxpayers in Nashville genuinely furious. This isn't a bureaucratic technicality. A man whose misconduct is documented on video, in texts, and in a public disciplinary record managed to get himself placed on an injury pension that rendered him untouchable by investigators. That's not a loophole. That's the system doing exactly what it was designed to do when someone knows how to work it.
Vidrios resigned. She admitted everything, lost her job, and her marriage presumably went with it. Holland gave a podcast interview about honor, found God, went to church with his family, and collected a disability check.
